Hello Team,
A slightly different 3-Watch Thursday for this week and next.
This week I’ll be sharing the Rowing Blazers X Seiko collaboration and some thoughts having been hands-on with the watches for the past couple of weeks.
Huge congratulations to Jack Carlson and the team at Rowing Blazers along with Eric Wind for making these watches happen.
After the success of last year’s releases, I’m sure these will go down a treat with watch enthusiasts and RB clients alike.
Rowing Blazers X Seiko
I wouldn’t normally dedicate a 3-Watch Thursday edition to a watch release. In fairness, I don’t think I’ve covered a watch release in any segment so far, but this one is a bit closer to home.
Last year, thanks to Charlie Dunne of @strictlyvintagewatches, I got hands-on with the checkered bezel 5KX. I loved that watch and how cheerful it was. At the time Charlie hinted that there was more to come in this space so I’d better keep my eyes peeled next year.
After sharing my photos on Instagram, Jack Carlson got in touch to say he liked the photos. It was nice to receive a message like this from the founder of the brand that this watch belongs.
That was nearly a year ago.
Fast forward to a month ago, I got a message saying the new release was coming, would I be interested in shooting the watches?
Of course I was!
And after a chaotic Tuesday seeing the release pictures all over Instagram, the watches will drop on Friday 11 am ET.
I’m really proud to share my part in this project, and can’t wait for more to come. It was also my first gig in the watch photography space, which probably explains my excitement in writing this newsletter.

A big thank you to everyone who has made this possible!
I hope you all enjoy the pics :))
