Hey Team,
A short one from me this week.
Been pretty busy having shot the WBLDN event on Monday evening.
Excited to share a couple of my favourite pictures, along with some other things that caught my eye this week.
So let’s jump straight in!
WBLDN Event
Super excited to share some of my favourite pics from the Watch Brothers London Event on Monday evening.

Independent Revival
I was recently listening to the latest episode of OT: The Podcast which you can listen to below.
The topic of a resurgence of forgotten independent watchmakers came up in relation to pocket watches and Journe, Dufour etc. becoming unobtainable.
Watchmaker such as Calabrese, McGonigle, Speake-Marin and Preziuso are all mentioned.
Most of these, I had never heard of and now I find myself down a rabbit hole.
As mentioned in the podcast, some of these designs feel dated. They’re certainly less classic in aesthetic than Journe, Dufour or Ferrier.
Maybe these watchmakers will be the next big thing again over the next half decade or so? Who knows.
Editorial: The Whys and Wherefores of Rolex Certified Pre-Owned
Now that the dust has settled on Rolex announcing their Certified Pre-Owned scheme, SJX of SJX has written an opinion piece about what it means for Rolex and why they have started it.
It’s quite a short read, and the first half details how the programme will work, so I recommend skipping to the Why? section to gather SJX’s opinion.
That’s all from me this week. I did say it would be short.
I’ll tentatively suggest there will be an issue of 3-Watch Thursday next week, it’s just dependent on any slow down in publishing of new watch related content.
Have a great weekend,
Owen
