Morning all,
Happy Thursday!
I can’t lie, I ummed and ahhed this week about skipping this week as it’s starting to get pretty busy at uni among other things, and then I remembered at the very least I can offer 3 things in the watch space that I’ve read/watched listened to which really isn’t too hard.
So that’s what it will be this week.
Short and sweet.
I hope you enjoy.
My Dream Cartier Watch Collection
What a brilliant piece by Charlie Dunne over at Wind Vintage.
A mix of words and images detailing watches I recognised but knew little about.
You can find it here!
eBay Watches Best In Class Ad
Did anyone catch this over on Mark Cho’s Instagram?
Hopefully, a full/longer video is released.
Thought it was a really good and fun move by eBay to have @dimepiece.co and @markchodotcom alongside @enyaumanzor for this ad.
The More You Know…
Finally, I’ve mentioned my love of watch data and have worked with Marcus over @siemswatches.
He’s done it again with this Instagram post breaking down dials and markers from the 1940s-1960s.
Hot take…why aren’t mid-century watch designs considered modern like mid-century modern. After all, they’re classy, elegant and timeless (pun intended).
Petition to start calling these watches mid-century modern watches.
That’s all from me this week.
Apologies it’s a short one.
Hopefully, I’ll get back to longer ones next week.
All the best,
Owen
