Morning morning morning,
How’s it going?
Monday saw the completion of my thesis, so now we’re onto a summer of watches. Super stoked to share photos from events and get back out into the ‘real’ world meeting watch friends and learning so much more!
Please excuse me if I’ve missed anything major in the watch media, I think I’ll be playing catch-up for a few weeks.
Without further ado, lets dive right in.
Can we just talk about early Aquatimers
A week or so ago, I saw on @iwc_vintage on Instagram an Aquatimer 812 and thought ‘wow, what a design’.
Later I found this piece on Fratello asking IWC to bring it back.
In fairness, they might!
Given that vintage inspired watches are all the rage at the minute, and if the new Ingenieur is a success it seems plausible that this is where IWC might turn next year as the current Aquatimer collection feels like a relic of the early 00s.
Who knows, what they’ve got planned.
It’s another in the IWC back catalogue that I can only assume would be a success amongst enthusiasts.

Ad Patina
I case you haven’t noticed, Nick at Ad Patina has started doing some watch story write ups in the captions of his posts.
They’re really enjoyable reads.
This was just a PSA and a thanks to Nick.
Keep it up and go check the stories out :))
Carpus Reverso
One more quick PSA, @carpusreverso posts vintage finds from eBay, Etsy and other auction sites which is super useful.
He’s found some amazing stuff such as this Nichrome Omega pocket watch that I love the numerals on.
Definitely worth a follow.
Subdial #5 Photos
Fortunately, I found some time to get out and about a couple of weeks ago to make it to Subdial #5. Some amazing watches were seen and I took my camera along to capture a few moments.
Below are some of my favourites:
If you made it this far, thanks so much for reading.
As mentioned above, I have some super exciting stuff planned that I can’t wait to share both on here and in the wider internet watch space.
Have a lovely weekend when we get there.
Any comments just leave them below!

What sort of stuff is planned??
